PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a center-fold type automatic opening and closing door capable of cutting down automatic closing driving mechanisms and, at the same time, executing a quick door closing operation while enabling the so called door catches to cut down. SOLUTION: The center-fold type automatic opening and closing door comprises the base section side door (the first door) 5 rotatable to a frame 4 and the opening and closing end side door (the second door) 7 connected to the first door 5 through a hinge 6, and it is locked in the frame 4 in a storing state. It is equipped with an energizing means 20 for energizing the second door 7 in the direction of a closed door, and the energizing means 20 is constituted by having a fixed frame 21 fixed to the inside of the second door 7, a winding roll 22 energized towards the direction of one revolution, a wire W capable of being pulled out while energizing to the winding side by fixing one end to the winding roll 22, a guide roller section 23 converting the extension direction to the horizontal direction while preventing the slippage of the intermediate section of the wire W and a fixed means 25 for fixing the other end of the wire provided to a proper position of the guide rail 24.
