The plastics extrusion unit has at least 2 directly driven extrusion screws, operated by an electric drive unit having at least 2 rotors (1) for rotation of the parallel extrusion screws and a segmental stator (2), the drive power transmitted from the stator to the rotors without physical contact, e.g. via a transversal flux principle.
