JUNCTION BOX FOR CONNECTING HIGH-FREQUENCY COMMUNICATION CABLES

A cable junction box for connecting high-frequency communication cables, galvanic contact of cable sheaths and pot sheath is provided with current-carrying bus-bars for restoring shielding properties of metal sheathings a sheet of aluminum foil is wound around a cable splice. Polyolefin casing consisting of 3 detachable elements is arranged on the splice, one of the elements is central and cylindrical, the other two are conical passing into cylinders. The box is wound with a two-layer mastic band, above which a PVC band with a adhesive layer. Beneath the shielding bus-bar along the sheathing of each cable the mastic band is applied on the stretch between the shielding connector on the sheathing to the shielding connector on the pot and above said connector. The box is wound with reinforcing band. For grounding the box a wire is arranged on one of pot connectors and led out. When using the box as a gas-blocking box a sealing mastic band is wound tightly to the inner walls of the conic elements, above the mastic band another rubber band with an adhesive surface, the casing inside surface is provided with a supporting net and filled with a compound.
