<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording system for embedding unique information of an image recording apparatus into an image to be recorded, which eliminates a necessity of providing the image recording apparatus with a circuit for performing processing of embedding the unique information into the image data, and suppresses deterioration of quality of the image due to the unique information as much as possible, and also to provide a relay apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A relay apparatus (relay unit) 2 is provided between a PC 32 of a transmission source of image data and the image recording apparatus (image recording unit) 1. The relay apparatus 2 performs correction of tone for image data transmitted from the PC 32 to the unit 1. The storage unit 24 of the relay unit 2 stores unique information unique to the apparatus 1 such as a serial number. The relay apparatus 2 performs processing of correction of the image data and addition of the unique information for the image data transmitted from the PC 32, and transmits the processed image data to the apparatus 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
