<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform authentication by using information, that is not absolute authentication information, for uniquely specifying a possessor. <P>SOLUTION: A pressure sensor 22, acting on a mobile phone from a user, is installed. The pressure sensor 22 is disposed into a grid shape. Output from the pressure sensor 22 shows the distribution of pressure on the portable telephone set 1 from the hand of the user. Pressure, operating on the mobile phone, indicates the habit when the user is holding the mobile phone 1. An authentication processing part 13 compares the output of the pressure sensor 22 with the pressure information of the real possessor, which is stored in a pressure information storing part 11, and performs authentication. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
