RECORDING AND REPRODUCING APPARATUS AND TAPE GUIDE USED THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for stably running a tape without damaging the tape in a recording and reproducing apparatus.

SOLUTION: As a tape guide, a first tape guide member of which the dimension of an outer diameter in the center of a tape width direction is smaller than the dimension of an outer diameter at both end sides and a second tape guide member of which the dimension of an outer diameter in the center of a tape width direction is greater than the dimension of an outer dimension at both end sides are paired and provided at one of or at both a tape-entering side of a head and a tape-leaving side of the head, the first tape guide member being abutted to a non-recording side of the tape to regulate the state of winding the tape around the head, and the second tape guide member being abutted to a recording side of the tape to regulate the state of winding the tape around the second tape guide member.
