PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that if setting of adding modified detection data which are required data for detecting a modification of original image data obtained by photographing is performed only before photographing, the above-mentioned data can not be added when the setting is forgotten. SOLUTION: An imaging device is provided with an imaging means (14) obtaining image data by photographing a subject image, a calculating means (76) calculating a MAC (one example of modified detection data which are data for detecting modification of the image data obtained by photographing) from the image data and adding the calculated MAC to the image data, a data addition selection means (72) operated by a user for selecting whether or not the MAC is added to the image data, and a control means (50) for determining whether or not the MAC is added to first image data according to the operation when the data addition selection means is operated after photographing the first image data and before photographing second image data.
