TWO-PLATE TYPE COLOR SOLID-STATE IMAGE PICKUP DEVICE AND DIGITAL CAMERA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a small-sized and inexpensive digital camera excellent in color reproducibility. SOLUTION: A two-plate type color solid-state image pickup device is provided with a color separation prism 35 for separating incident light from an object to light including blue and red, and green light; a solid-state image pickup element 36 which receives the blue and red incident light separated by the prism 35; and a solid-state image pickup element 37 which receives the green light separated by the prism 35. A color filter for transmitting blue or red is formed on each of a plurality of light-receiving parts provided on the solid-state image pickup element 36 in an array form. A color filter for transmitting green G1 or a color filter for transmitting green G2 whose wavelength region is deviated from that of the green G1 is formed on each of a plurality of light-receiving parts provided on the solid-state image pickup element 37 in an array form.
