PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of efficiently managing thumbnail pictures. SOLUTION: A first recording section 104 stores identification information to identify the thumbnail pictures and a count in association with each other, a second recording section 105 stores the identification information and information denoting a storage address for storing the pictures in association with each other, and when new additional picture to be managed is entered and the first recording section 104 stores identification information of the additional picture, the count stored in the first recording section 104 in association with the same identification information as the identification information of the additional picture is incremented by one.
