PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate a disk shift quantity which can be utilized for estimating a received excessive impact. SOLUTION: A CPU makes an eccentricity component detector 221 learn again an eccentricity component making a learning value of eccentricity which is stored in an initial value region of a flash ROM and obtained at the time of manufacturing a disk storage apparatus accompanied by the rotation of the disk as an initial value (S2). The CPU calculates a disk shift quantity from the eccentricity component obtained by re-learning, that is, a re-learning value and a learning value obtained at the time of manufacturing the disk storage apparatus used as the initial value.
