PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle having high discharge property of condensed water even when a drain pipe is disposed substantially horizontally through a partition. SOLUTION: The air conditioner for the vehicle is mounted in the vehicle having the partition 30 for separating the cabin 10 from the engine room 20, and the drain pipe 111 formed in an air conditioning case 110 penetrates the partition 30 and projects substantially horizontally in the engine room 20. The partition 30 is provided with a tilting section 31 tilting downward near the drain pipe 111 on the air conditioning case 110 side, the drain pipe 111 is penetrated through the tilting section 31 of the partition 30, and a lower tip 111a of the drain pipe 111 is formed on the tilting section 31 side than an upper tip 111b.
