PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve proof stress in a bead heel part to reduce the generation of circumferential displacement of rims between a bead part and a rim seat. SOLUTION: This rim for a tire has a rim 10 structured of the bead heel 3 formed by curving the peripheral edge of an annular bead seat 2 and a rim flange 4 provided in the peripheral edge of the bead heel 3 and wherein the bead 6 of the pneumatic tire is fitted. The surface of the rim 10 has projecting and recessed parts 5 formed over a range at about 5 mm from the bead heel 3 toward the rim flange 4 and at about 10 mm from the bead heel 3 toward the bead seat 2 in the radial direction of the pneumatic tire 1.
