PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus by which the difference of the picture qualities of a plurality of sheets of tomographic images reconstituted based on projection data from each detector column can be reduced by reducing the difference of dose distribution in each detector column of the detector of X-rays which occurs by using a detector having the plurality of detector columns in the body axis direction of a patient and which is emitted from a rotating anode X-ray tube. SOLUTION: A target 65 has a plurality of tilted surfaces whose inclination angles (hereafter target angles) are replaced alternately with 6°and 10°for every rotation angle of 90°in its peripheral direction. Thus, whenever the target 65 is rotated by 90°by a rotary magnetic field from a stator coil, the target angles are switched to 6°or 10°. Thus, the X-rays generated from the target 65 are emitted in a direction according to the target angles and so as to equalize the dose distribution with respect to each detector column in the slice direction of the X-ray detector array.
