1. The method of producing graphite cardboard for gaskets is based on the paper-production method used in automotive industry. The cardboard is made of a mass, which is a water suspension of synthetic organic fibres, graphite, latex binding agents, fillers and auxiliary substances. It is characterised in that the water suspension of the mass is made of the following: 3.5 percent-7 percent by mass of highly fibrillated polyamide fibres; 60 percent-80 percent by mass of amorphous graphite, at least 90 percent of which passes through a sieve with the sieve mesh of 0.044 mm; 3 percent-13 percent by mass of nitrile-butadiene latex; 5 percent-9 percent by mass of heavy spar and 5 percent-9 percent by mass of silica dust. First, a homogenous water suspension of fibres is prepared. Then, all the remaining components are proportioned, while constantly stirring the mixture. Finally, latex is added and the mass with latex is stirred in the conditions, where there are no shearing forces.
