<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium capable of reducing the scratches on the light incident surface of the cover layer, and provide its manufacturing method and a method of optical information recording using this recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The optical information recording medium has pits or a recording layer, and a cover layer of 0.01-0.5 mm thick in this order on a substrate of 0.7-2 mm thick, and records or reproduces information by illuminating a laser beam from the side of the cover layer. Further, it has raised sections of 3-90 μm high on the cover layer at the inner and/or outer peripheries of the surface incident of the laser beam. In this manufacturing method, the raised sections on the optical information recording medium are formed by printing. This optical recording method makes recording by physically or chemically changing the recording layer by irradiation with a laser beam of a 100-600 nm wavelength from the side of the cover layer when it has a recording layer on the optical information recording medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
