<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of dictionary images per one kind of specific image when image recognition processing is executed with an image recognition IC. <P>SOLUTION: An image recognition IC detects a specific image existing in images inputted to the image recognition IC itself and outputs the result of the detection from the image recognition IC. The image recognition IC is provided with; a coordinates conversion means which converts, from a polar coordinate image, a dictionary image for detecting the specific image existing in the images inputted to the image recognition IC to an original image or rotated original image; and a comparison-determination means which compares the image inputted to the image recognition IC with the dictionary image converted to the original image or rotated original image from the polar coordinate image and determines whether the specific image exists in the image inputted to the image recognition IC. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
