<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To objectively and properly evaluate image data treated in a biometrics personal authentication system. <P>SOLUTION: An arrangement processing part 32 arranges a plurality of masks MAks for collation image data A. A maximum correlation region detection processing part 34 detects a plurality of masks MBks corresponding to maximum correlation regions which respectively correspond to the plurality of the masks MAks from collation image data B.
