<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of performance changes in an oscillation-type driving device, enhancing the adhesiveness between an elastic body and a shaft member. <P>SOLUTION: The oscillation-type driving device has an electromechanical energy transducer, the elastic body (14), in which oscillation is excited by the transducer, the shaft member (4) for imparting crimping force between the elastic body and the transducer, and a rotating body rotated by making contact with the elastic body. The shaft member has a first outside diameter part, which is press-fitted to an inside diameter part of the elastic body, and a second outside diameter part, which has a larger outside diameter than that of the first outside diameter part and axially comes into contact with the elastic body, in order to impart the crimping force. An escape face (14b), which is circumferentially extended by being radially retreating from the press-fitting face of the inside diameter part and the first outside diameter part, is formed to an end region on the second outside diameter part side at least in either of the inside diameter part and the first outside diameter part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
