摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique sufficient in driveability, even if acceleration is requested during regeneration of a filter, in an exhaust emission control system for an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: In the exhaust emission control system for an internal combustion engine, in each operational state during regeneration of the filter, an intake air amount is decreased compared with that in the same operational status other than the regeneration treatment to increase a temperature of the internal combustion engine, so as to oxidize particulate matters trapped by the filter. During the regeneration of the filter and when there is a predetermined acceleration request for the internal combustion engine (S103), the intake air amount (S104) is increased to be larger than the intake air amount to be normally determined during the regeneration of the filter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
