PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing simply an unprediscribed polymer fine particle including a small specific gravity of a particle and an irregularly shaped particle that is mingled in polymer fine particles obtained by a method for producing the polymer fine particles, wherein a resin composition solution is dispersed in a water base solvent or a polymerizable monomer composition is dispersed to polymerize. SOLUTION: The method comprises leaving the polymer fine particles to stand, allowing the unprediscribed polymer fine particle to float and the other polymer fine particle to precipitate, followed by removing a layer containing the unprediscribed polymer fine particle.
