DOZING-DETECTION DEVICE, CAMERA, LIGHT-SHIELDING SENSOR, AND SEAT BELT SENSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more accurately detect dozing, not on the basis of not-indirect factors, such as brain waves, the body temperature or an indirect factor such as the degree of delay of driver's reaction, but rather by direct factors, such as driver's posture. SOLUTION: A dozing detection device is equipped with a monitor means 21 of directly monitoring the positions of the feet of the driver and a decision means 31 of deciding based on monitoring, as to whether the feet are disposed in a danger avoiding posture with respect to pedals (7, 8) for vehicle operation.
