PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stopper for a banner or flag constituted by forming a snap ring for mounting on a main body of the banner made of cloth by moldings of plastic. SOLUTION: The stopper is provided with a cloth attaching section 2 comprising a lower attaching body 200 and an upper attaching body 210 at its end in a developed state and a snap ring member 3 in its intermediate section. The upper attaching body 210 is provided with a base fixing body 214 and an opening and closing attaching body 215 via a thin-walled hinge section 213. The opening and closing attaching body 215 and the lower attaching body are provided with banner main body attaching means 5. The respective members are formed of plastic moldings and the snap ring member 3 is formed thinner than the cloth attaching section so as to have flexibility. The end of the main body end made of the cloth of the banner is attached between the upper attaching bodies 200 and 210 and the ring body is formed by the snap ring member 3.
