摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for electrostatic charge image development which has excellent low-temperature fixability and high-temperature offset characteristics, can maintain a uniform grain size distribution well dispersed with a colorant by stably controlling a desired particle size and grain size distribution and develops excellent sharpness. SOLUTION: The toner prepared by dissolving or dispersing a polymer having an area reactable with a compound having an active hydrogen group constituting a binder resin, the colorant, and a mold releasing agent into at least an organic solvent, dispersing the solution or the dispersion in an aqueous solvent, reacting the polymer having the area reactable with the compound having the active hydrogen group with an active hydrogen containing compound, or while causing such reaction, removing the organic solvent, followed by cleaning and drying is so composed that the viscosity at 6 rpm by a rotary viscometer at 25°C of the solution or the dispersion is 300 to 50,000 Pas and the viscosity ratio by the rotary viscometer expressed by the equation attains 1.5 to 25.0.
