PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for managing markup-language-based data, and a recording medium that allow efficient storage, deletion, updating or retrieval of digital data. SOLUTION: To allow efficient management, digital data expressed in a markup language are fragmented, and each fragment is managed in a relational table.
