PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing method, a data processor, a program and a storage medium for preventing generation of the overrun of a page which is being processed at present, and for shortening the time, until the start of the processing of the next page. SOLUTION: This data processor is provided with a page memory 4, in which data are stored, a DMA controller 500 for transferring data from the page memory 4 to an image output part 5 and a buffer memory 502 for storing the data for absorbing a difference between the transfer speed of the data by the DMA controller 500 and the transfer speed of the data to be outputted to a printer engine 6 at an image output part 5 and a data storage quantity detecting part 504 for detecting the quantity of the data stored in the buffer memory 502. The DMA controller 500 decides on the transfer quantity of the data at the time of acquiring the use right of a bus, based on the data quantity detection result of the data storage quantity detecting part 504.
