PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve for preventing dew condensation/freezing of a nozzle plate by using a protector. SOLUTION: The fuel injection valve comprises: a valve body 21 having a valve seat surface 20 formed to a wall face of a fuel passage 2; a valve element 22 disposed in the fuel passage 2; the nozzle plate 23 attached to a tip face of the valve body 21 and having a plurality of nozzle holes 23a; and the protector 24 attached to an outer periphery of the valve body 21 and arranged to surround an outer periphery of the nozzle plate 23. The protector 24 is constituted of a resin protector member 26 and a metal protector member 27. The resin protector member 26 is press-fitted into the outer periphery of the valve body 21, and its inner peripheral locking projection 26a is locked into a locking groove part 21a of the valve body 21. The metal protector member 27 is press-fitted in the outer periphery of the resin protector 26, an outer peripheral locking projection 26b is locked into its locking groove part 27c, and is provided with a protecting part 27b surrounding the outer periphery of the nozzle plate 23.
