PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration control device of a building, which simplifies a constitution, which enhances space efficiency, and which can easily adjust the number of vibrations. SOLUTION: This vibration control device 1 is equipped with a pit 2, a pit supporting part 3 for supporting the pit 2 in such a manner as to be horizontally displaceable in a predetermined range, and a vibration control mechanism 4 which makes the pit 2 generate the horizontal vibrations and control them; and the mechanism 4 comprises a vertical motion member 12 which is fitted into the pit 2 in a vertically movable manner, a rotatable ball 21 which is protruded from a top surface of the member 12 by a predetermined height, a holding member 30 wherein a spherical concave part 31 for holding the ball 21 is formed in an undersurface, an elastic member 16 for urging the member 12 upward, and a viscous fluid L for imparting viscous resistance to the member 12.
