PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insertion attachment for an endoscope for sufficiently spreading lubricant without increasing the diameter of the insertion attachment. SOLUTION: On the inner peripheral surface of the tube main body 51 of an over tube 50, a spiral groove 84 for supplying the lubricant and a spiral groove 86 for returning the lubricant are formed. The spiral groove 84 for supplying the lubricant and the spiral groove 86 for returning the lubricant are formed to be parallel to each other without crossing from the proximal end to the distal end of the tube main body 51. In addition, the entrance 84A of the spiral groove 84 for supplying the lubricant formed on the side of the proximal end of the tube main body 51 communicates with the tube 68 of an injection port 66, and the exit 84B of the spiral groove 84 for supplying the lubricant formed on the side of the distal end of the tube main body 51 communicates with the entrance 84A of the spiral groove 86 for returning the lubricant formed on the side of the distal end of the tube main body 51. Then, the exit 86B of the spiral groove 84 for supplying the lubricant formed on the side of the proximal end of the tube main body 51 communicates with the tube 82 of a drain 80. The injection port 66 is connected to the supply port 92 of a lubricant supply apparatus 90 to supply the lubricant from the lubricant supply apparatus 90 to the spiral groove 84 for supplying the lubricant.
