The method of producing composites based on cast iron with high aluminium content - unique characteristics: 1.0-30 percent of carbide-forming element is introduced into the liquid, overheated cast iron with high aluminium content, containing at least 19 percent of Al. Once bound with carbon, the carbide-forming element constitutes the reinforcing phase. The resultant composite material is subjected to casting. Titanium, tungsten, vanadium, molybdenum, zirconium, hafnium, tantalum, chromium or manganese are used in the function of the carbide-forming elements.
