The aim of the invention is to provide the possibility of rational application of the surface layer (1) from extremely hard, particularly metal-based material, especially for example stainless steel on skis or similar sliding devices. This requires on one side a necessary grip of the surface layer (1) against the remaining areas of the ski, particularly the core (5), while on the other the possibility of injuries as a consequence of any existing sharp edges on the aforementioned surface layer (1) has to be eliminated. Subject of the invention is also the procedure for manufacturing such a ski. The ski or similar sliding device consists of a supporting core (5) with a sliding layer (2) located beneath it as well as edges (3, 4), including also lateral panels (6, 7), while across the core (5) and lateral panels (6, 7) the application of a surface layer (1) based on sheet-metal or similar hard and solid material is anticipated. The surface layer (1) consists of a supporting layer (12), which spreads across the core (5) and lateral panels (6, 7) as well as from a considerably harder and more solid sheet-metal or similar panel (11), which is sunk into the aforementioned surface layer (12) across the predominant part of the surface layer of the ski. The procedure for its manufacture anticipates a separate preparation of the sliding surface (1) based on stamping the specified sheet-metal (11) into the supporting layer (12) of the surface layer (1), while subsequently the upper longitudinal edges (121, 122) of the surface layer (1) should be rounded.
|
