Process and assembly to cool sample tapping tube and valve associated with a fermentation process using sterile water recovered from condensed steam

Tapping samples from a fermentation reactor assembly at intervals during the fermentation process via a tube and valve, is new. After a sample has been withdrawn the tapping tube and valve are sterilised with steam and then cooled using water produced solely from condensed steam. An independent claim is also included for a commensurate process in which the tube and valves are cooled to a temperature that is compatible with the fermentation process. The condensed steam is heald at readiness for use in a container from which a sample is drawn to test the purity of the steam in use.
