The system has an emergency switch device (5) to activate a safety program of an autopilot (3) when an airplane flies below a target altitude, such that the program permits the landing of the airplane on an airport landing system. A break switch (8) in a control circuit (9) of an on-off switch (4), which is utilized by a pilot to activate the autopilot, opens when the device activates the program. The target altitude is always set above 1000 meters with respect to a highest building. The system is accommodated inside the aircraft control or even outside an area of the airplane.
