METHOD FOR PRODUCING COMPOSITE OXIDE CATALYST

Disclosed is a method for producing a composite oxide catalyst wherein a solid matter containing a catalyst component which is discharged during production procedure of a molybdenum-based composite oxide catalyst is used as a raw material. The production procedure of a molybdenum-based composite oxide catalyst comprises a step for obtaining a catalyst component-containing slurry, a step for obtaining a powder by drying the slurry, a step for obtaining a formed body made of the powder, a step for firing the formed body, and a step for inspecting and sorting the fired product. The method for producing a composite oxide catalyst is characterized by comprising a step for pulverizing a solid matter containing a catalyst component if necessary, which solid matter is discharged during the above-mentioned production procedure of the molybdenum-based composite oxide catalyst, a step for dispersing the solid matter in water to form a slurry, a step for obtaining a powder by drying the slurry, and a step for firing a formed body which is obtained by compacting the powder.
