<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase capacity of a lithium secondary battery and to improve a charge-discharge cycle characteristic. <P>SOLUTION: This thin film electrode is composed by forming, on a collector, a thin film containing a NiAs type Cu-Sn based intermetallic compound belonging to a space group P6<SB>3</SB>/mmc. This lithium secondary battery is composed by using, as a negative electrode, the thin film electrode wherein a metal element having a melting point below 700°C and excluding Sn is further included in the thin film; and the content of the metal element is 0.1-20 mass% by a total mass ratio of the metal element and Cu. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
