<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the burden on a worker as much as possible when pulling out a photosensitive unit or a development unit from a housing. <P>SOLUTION: The photosensitive unit including a photosensitive rotating material having a latent image formed thereon and the development unit for developing the latent image, of which the clearance determination means for determining a clearance between the photosensitive rotating material and itself is brought into contact with the photosensitive rotating material are supported in the housing. In order to pull out the photosensitive unit and the development unit from the housing along an axial direction of the photosensitive rotating material, a unit moving means is provided which relatively moves the photosensitive unit and the development unit in the housing so as to separate the photosensitive rotating material and the clearance determination means from each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
