<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain hydrogen consumption by side reaction generating methane from carbon dioxide and hydrogen in methanation catalyst reaction, with a carbon monoxide remover in a fuel cell power generating device generating power by supplying a fuel cell with fuel gas rich in hydrogen and with low concentration of carbon monoxide. <P>SOLUTION: The device is provided with a condenser 11 for cooling a carbon monoxide remover 5 filled with methanation reaction catalyst, with which, a cooling medium such as water is made to flow around the carbon monoxide remover 5 in a direction contrary to a distribution direction of fuel gas, and catalyst reaction temperature is lowered in a distribution direction of the fuel gas, whereby, concentration of the carbon monoxide is well reduced and the side reaction for producing methane carbon dioxide is restrained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
