<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove carbonaceous matter at low temperatures without changes of physical and/or chemical properties of a catalyst in the regeneration of the zeolite catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises bringing a zeolite catalyst for isoparaffin-olefin alkylation after alkylation into contact, in a temperature range of 25-500°C, with one or more discharging gases selected from glow, pulse, high-frequency, microwave and arc discharging gases.
