<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package for storing light emitting element and a light emitting device which have high radiation intensity and which are superior in an optical characteristic such as luminance and a color rendering property. <P>SOLUTION: The package for storing light emitting element is provided with a substrate 1 having the placing part 1a of the light emitting element 5 in the center of an upper face, a frame-like reflection member 2 installed in the peripheral part of the upper face in the substrate 1 by surrounding the placing part 1a, and a conductor layer 7 where the light emitting element 5 formed in the placing part 1a is electrically connected through conductive adhesive 8.
