<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate image retrieval information without depending on a data format of a medical image file, and to easily retrieve predetermined image data from a storage medium with a plurality of medical image files having different data formats stored by being mixed. <P>SOLUTION: An image retrieval information management device of this application is provided with: a retrieval key read processing part 101 for determining a type of data format of the medical image file, and for reading a plurality of retrieval keys from the respective medical image files based on the difference of the data format; a retrieval key shaping processing part 102 for converting the plurality of read retrieval keys to a preset data format; and a file management part 104 for registering the plurality of retrieval keys in a predetermined hierarchical directory based on preset hierarchical directory generation information, for creating image retrieval information with the plurality of retrieval keys managed by a hierarchical structure, and for storing the created image retrieval information in a storage medium to manage it. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
