<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the dislocation of a driving force following gear shift while suppressing the reduction of driving responsiveness in acceleration accompanied by down-shift. <P>SOLUTION: In acceleration such as kick-down travel, a requested gear shift speed tRSP to an achieved change gear ratio according to a target vehicle body driving force is calculated. Gear shift control is performed at a predetermined limit gear shift speed RSPLMT.
