<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a golf club head which enables the production of the golf club head with higher yields while realizing the higher dimensional precision, the lower center of gravity and the higher inertial moment. <P>SOLUTION: In the production method of the golf club head, a metallic sole plate 11 and a metallic face plate 12 are joined on a preform (the first and second preforms 18 and 19) made of a prepreg previously given a shape and arranged in a molding die.
