<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light weight polyethylene terephthalate bottle having a high heat-resistance and rigidity, capable of being thermally filled and not producing any buckling and deformation caused by reduction in pressure and shrinkage. <P>SOLUTION: This polyethylene terephthalate bottle has features (1) to (6) as follows: (1) the average wall thickness at a barrel part is 0.27 mm or less; (2) the weight at an extension part is 14 to 19 g; (3) the volume is 450 to 600 ml; (4) the outer diameter variation rate at the barrel part (D1-D2)/D2 is 12% or less, where D1 is the maximum outer diameter at the barrel part after 30 seconds of pressurization and D2 is a diameter at the outer diameter of the barrel part at 23°C when the inner pressure is set to be higher than the outer pressure by 0.01 MPa under a state that the bottle is filled with hot water of 87°C; (5) a volume variation rate (V1-V2)/V1 is 2% or less, where V1 is a volume at 23°C and V2 is a volume after filling hot water of 87°C; and (6) no deformation caused by buckling is generated when the hot water is automatically cooled down to 23°C after filling 95 vol.% of the bottle with hot water of 87°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
