PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microcapsule that has a small particle size and is uniform, notwithstanding the occlusion of the dispersion system having colored particles dispersed in an oil phase, and to provide a method, and to provide a method thereof. SOLUTION: The preparing method of the microcapsule comprises dispersing an organic dispersion containing a resin in which the acid group is neutralized, the colored particles and an organic solvent into an aqueous medium, and producing a capsule particle composed of the dispersion system constituted from the organic dispersion and a wall membrane occluding the dispersion system in the aqueous medium. The method is characterized by neutralizing the acid group of the resin with an alkanolamine. The resin constituting the wall membrane may be crosslinked or cured by a crosslinker. Also, the unreacted crosslinker may be further crosslinked or cured with a polyfunctional compound after the resin constituting the wall membrane is crosslinked or cured using the crosslinker.
