PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict the time when the battery of a gas-blast circuit breaker should be replaced and systematically and efficiently replace the gas-blast circuit breaker or the battery. SOLUTION: The gas-blast circuit breaker is provided with a battery voltage detecting means 108, a temperature detecting means 112 for detecting the temperature in the place of installation, and a steady state detecting means 117. A control unit 116 periodically detects temperatures from the temperature detecting means 112. When the steady state detecting means 117 is outputting steady state signals, the battery voltage detecting means 108 detects the voltage of a battery and this voltage is stored in chronological order. When the detected temperature is equal to a predetermined temperature and the gradient of change in battery voltage becomes equal to or higher than a predetermined value, a communicating portion 106 and an announcing portion 105 announces that to the outside.
