PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer which can accurately detect a defect in a nozzle by using an impact force at the arrival of ink ejected from the nozzle. SOLUTION: Characteristically, this inkjet printer for recording an image on a recording medium by ejecting the ink from the nozzle is equipped with a piezofilm 62 which is provided ahead of the ink-droplet ejecting direction of the nozzle of a head module 31, and an ink-droplet receiving part 61 which is interposed between the nozzle and the piezofilm 62 so as to receive an ink droplet ejected from the nozzle; and the receiving part 61 is so provided as to be capable of transferring the impact force at the arrival of the ejected ink droplet to the piezofilm 62.
