PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain coated paper for printing, which has bulkiness, high white paper gloss and high smoothness. SOLUTION: In the coated paper for printing, having a coating film layer obtained by coating at least one side of base paper with at least one layer of a coating liquid comprising pigment and an adhesive as main components and drying the coating film layer, 2-30 mass% of pigment in the outermost coating film layer is at least one kind selected from plastic pigment and satin white and the coated paper is treated by a metal roll and a shoe calender equipped with a tube-like sleeve made of an elastic synthetic resin.
