PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency shutoff valve dispensing with a second weight for releasing a stopper action, having a simple mechanism and capable of suppressing increase in size. SOLUTION: A maintaining means 25 comprises a first lever body 26 for engaging and maintaining an oscillating arm 21 equipped with a weight at an open position○, and a second lever body 27 for engaging and maintaining the first lever body 26. The first lever body 26 is rotatable to a maintaining position B for maintaining a first fixing pin 22 provided on the oscillating arm 21, inside a maintaining groove 29, and to a separating position wherein the first fixing pin 22 separates from the maintaining groove 29. The second lever 27 is interlockingly rotatable with the first lever body 26 through an interlocking connection means 32. When the oscillating arm 21 is maintained at the open position○, the first fixing pin 22 is fitted into the maintaining groove 29 and applies a rotational moment M to the first lever body 26. A second fixing pin 38 is provided for switching between a fixation position for fixing the rotation of the second lever 27 against the rotational moment M, and a fixation releasing position.
