The invention relates to a roof extension for a utility vehicle cab comprising a left and a right A column (22, 20; 54), "right" and "left" being in relation to the direction of forward travel (36), as well as at least one rear left and at least one rear right column (26, 30, 24, 28, 56) disposed behind a door section in relation to the direction of forward travel. Said roof extension is provided with at least two roof bows (12, 14, 16, 18; 62, 64, 66) that are covered by a roof (34). According to the invention, a first roof bow (14, 18; 62, 64) extends from the left A column (22, 54) to the rear left column (24, 28) while a second roof bow (12, 16; 66) runs from the right A column (20) to the rear left column (26, 30; 56). The inventive roof extension is used for stabilizing a utility vehicle cab.
