In non-effervescent tablets (A) for the oral administration of ibuprofen-sodium (I), consisting of a core and optionally a sugar or film coating, the core comprises 50-100 wt.% (I) hydrate (containing 8-16 wt.% water) and 0-50 wt.% auxiliaries (II) and is free of lubricants and disintegrants. An Independent claim is also included for the preparation of (A), by compressing (I) hydrate (optionally mixed with (II)) to form cores and optionally providing the cores with a sugar or film coating. |
