The device has a personal computer to determine radiation specific data from electrical data of an x-ray tube, and to make the specific data available in order to write it in a patient`s x-ray record book. A microprocessor-controlled data unit records a current density of the tube and current flow duration for computing radiation dosage by making use of a measured anode voltage, and stores the recorded values in the computer. An independent claim is also included for a procedure for recording and maintaining radiographic data of a patient.
